Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 may have launched in 2024, but it continues to power upper mid-range Android phones even in 2025. After all, it packs relatively newer CPU cores and a capable GPU. So to evaluate whether the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 remains relevant in 2025, we have benchmarked the chipset across AnTuTu, Geekbench, 3DMark, CPU Throttling Test, and more. On that note, let's dive in.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 AnTuTu Score
AnTuTu V11 Benchmark | Score |
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 AnTuTu V11 Score | 1,654,226 |
CPU | 522,202 |
GPU | 434,187 |
Memory | 313,870 |
UX | 383,967 |
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 achieved 1,654,226 points in the latest AnTuTu V11 benchmark. Its 8-core Kryo CPU managed to get 522,202 points and the Adreno 735 GPU achieved 434,187 points. Do note that this result is from AnTuTu V11 and it's generally getting somewhat higher scores than the V10 version. For your reference, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 scored around 1.49 million points in the AnTuTu V10 benchmark.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Geekbench Score
Geekbench 6 CPU | Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 |
Single-core | 1,871 |
Multi-core | 4,702 |
Now, to test the CPU on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, we ran the Geekbench 6 CPU benchmark on the Poco F6. It achieved 1,871 in single-core and 4,702 in multi-core. Qualcomm has packed Cortex-X4, Cortex-A720, and Cortex-A520 cores on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with slightly lower clock speeds. As a result, its 8-core CPU performs closer to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 CPU Throttling Test
CPU Throttling Test | Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 |
Maximum Score | 340,520 GIPS |
Average Score | 322,812 GIPS |
Minimum Score | 298,976 GIPS |
Throttling Percentage (Higher is better) | 92% |
In the 15-minute CPU Throttling test, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 did pretty well. Even under heavy stress, the CPU didn't throttle and maintained its peak performance for much longer. The credit largely goes to Poco for including a large vapor chamber that keeps the device cool. Its throttling percentage stood at an amazing 92%.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 3DMark Score
3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test | Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 |
Best Loop Score | 2,936 |
Lowest Loop Score | 2,556 |
Stability | 87.1% |
Next, to test the Adreno 735 GPU on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, we ran the intensive 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress test. In this graphics benchmark, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 got the best loop score of 2,936 and the lowest loop score of 2,556 with a stability of 87.1%. Again, the GPU performed pretty well even after 20 loops and maintained the performance for an extended period.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 | 3DMark Solar Bay | 3DMark Steel Nomad Light |
Overall Score | 4,988 | 1,014 |
Average FPS | 18.97 | 7.52 |
After that, we ran the 3DMark Solar Bay test to evaluate the ray tracing performance. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 scored 4,988 with an 18.97 average FPS. And in the demanding 3DMark Steel Nomad Light test, the SD 8s Gen 3 scored 1,014 and achieved 7.52 average FPS.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Speedometer 3.1 Score
In the latest Speedometer 3.1 benchmark that tests web responsiveness, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 scored 15.8 points. It means the chipset should offer better fluidity and performance while browsing the web or using web applications.

Verdict
To sum up, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 doesn't beat the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which was Qualcomm's 2023 flagship. At best, it's closer to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which was released in 2022. That said, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is a capable processor and delivers great performance and stability across the CPU and GPU. If you are buying a smartphone under Rs. 30,000 with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, it's perhaps the best pick you can opt for.
