Last night, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S26 series and the Galaxy Buds 4 series. While the limelight has been entirely on these hardware launches, the brand also made some noteworthy changes to its Samsung Care Plus protection program. It now includes phone replacement instead of only repair.
Samsung Care Plus will now replace old phones entirely
Starting with the UK, the new Samsung Care Plus terms and conditions include complete smartphone replacement in case of any accidental damage or component failure. This also covers software failure and water damage. Currently, only the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra are eligible for this benefit.

Samsung has also confirmed that every smartphone replacement will happen within 48 hours and the new device will carry all the existing benefits of the old phone. Moreover, users will also be able to avail global warranty, repair and support coverage as well as unlimited repair claims.
That said, at the time of writing, the replacement benefit is only live in the UK. We have been unable to spot a replacement option on the Samsung Care Plus India website. However, we expect a global rollout of the benefit shortly and coverage for older devices like the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
