Samsung has been on a roll recently, shipping new One UI 8.5 beta updates to Galaxy phones in India. The brand recently shipped One UI 8.5 beta update for Galaxy A35 and now, it is seeding the One UI 8.5 Beta 1 build for Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A55.

Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A55 Receives One UI 8.5 Beta 1 in India

Spotted and reported by reliable tipster Tarun Vats on X, the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A55 5G have now received their first One UI 8.5 beta build in India. The Galaxy A54 One UI 8.5 beta is live with the build version A546EXXUJZZD5 and 2.7 GB of update size. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A55 brings the A556EXXUEZZD5 version identifier and is close to 2.2 GB. Both phones have now been upgraded to Android 16 QPR2, with the latest April 2026 security patch.

As part of this new update, Samsung's camera app now gets three new camera filters - Classic Film, Pop Film and Blanc. The update has also improved the AirDrop experience with QuickShare support. Other than that these new features are also set to arrive to Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A55:

  • Fully customisable Quick Settings panel with better first-party apps integration
  • Revamped Battery Info page with improved Power Saving Mode
