Samsung has released One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 QPR2, and the Galaxy S26 series is the first to run the latest version. It's a considerable upgrade over One UI 7 and builds on the features introduced in One UI 8.5. The update includes both UI changes and new features, including a host of AI features that should make the overall user experience much better. If you're wondering whether your Samsung phone will get the update, here's a list of all the supported devices that will be eligible for One UI 8.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 series has launched, and it's the first set of phones to arrive with One UI 8.5 out of the box. Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 series, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 will get the One UI 8.5 first by the start of Q2 2026. The Galaxy S23 series and Z Fold 5/Flip5 will follow in May 2026. Budget devices may get it by the end of May 2026, and the full rollout is expected to end by the end of June 2026.
