After launching the Samsung Galaxy M17 5G in India last year, the South Korean brand is all set to add another member to the family. The upcoming Galaxy M17e 5G is going official this month and Samsung has now confirmed the India launch date as well as several of its key specifications.

The official Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G Samsung India microsite is now live with the March 17, 2026, launch date. It will go official at 12:00 PM IST and will be sold in India via Amazon. This will mark the first-ever e-branded 'M' series phone from Samsung.
Just like the Galaxy M17 5G, the upcoming phone will also target the budget smartphone segment and could launch for under Rs 10,000. For that price, it is confirmed to feature a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. It will be powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset and will ship with OneUI 8 update based on Android 16.
As per the teaser microsite, the Galaxy M17e 5G will join the ranks of Galaxy phones with 6 years of software and security updates. One of the key upgrades with the smartphone is going to be its 6,000mAh battery, with 33W fast USB-C charging support.
Moving on, for cameras, the Galaxy M17e 5G will rely on a dual rear camera setup including a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP depth module. It will also bring an 8 MP selfie camera. Aside from that, the phone will rock an official IP54 dust and water resistance rating, support 12 5G bands, bring NFC and rely on a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and Knox security for privacy.
All in all, the Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G is going to be a well-rounded smartphone if it launches for under Rs 10,000. With 5G connectivity and a big battery, it could very well emerge as one of the top contenders for the best phone under Rs 10,000 list.
