Samsung has launched the Galaxy M47 5G in India as the latest addition to its M-series lineup. Succeeding the Galaxy M44, the new smartphone brings a Snapdragon chipset, a large battery and several years of Android updates, aiming to deliver a well-rounded mid-range experience.

The Samsung Galaxy M47 5G features the standard Samsung back design with a vertical camera layout and a clean slate with a Samsung logo at the bottom. The camera module has accents running across to match the back panel's colour, giving it a seamless look and adding a fun element to it. There are two colours on offer – Rogue Red and Blaze Blue.
Coming to the display, the Galaxy M47 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120 Hz Super AMOLED Infinity-O panel display with a peak brightness of 1,400 nits and an 800 nits HBM. The display is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+.
Performance-wise, the smartphone features the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. For those unaware, it's a 4nm octa-core processor with Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores and maximum clock speeds of up to 2.4 GHz. The performance is complemented by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Fueling the internals is a massive 6,000mAh battery with 45W charging support and Bypass charging. The Samsung Galaxy M47 5G comes with One UI 8.5 update out of the box based on Android 16 with features like AI retouch, AI voice transcription and Live notifications. It also comes with an on-device voice mail feature, which allows callers to leave localised voice messages when you're busy, in a meeting, or otherwise unavailable. Samsung is also promising 6 years of OS and security updates.
Coming to the optics, the smartphone features triple rear cameras, including a 50 MP f/1.8 main snapper with OIS, a 5 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro shooter. The front hole punch houses a 12 MP camera for selfies. Connectivity-wise, the smartphone features Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and a USB-C 2.0 port for charging. For security, there's a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Samsung Galaxy M47 5G is priced at Rs 22,999 for the base 6 GB + 128 GB variant, which is inclusive of a coupon discount. Colour options include Rogue Red and Blaze Blue, and the phone will go on sale starting July 4, 2026, via Amazon.
