Since the launch of the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung has exclusively focused on getting out many budget to mid-range smartphones. However, as the Galaxy Fold 8 series launch approached, the brand is gearing up to launch the successor to its popular "FE" series, the Galaxy S26 FE and its design has surfaced, hinting at a few changes.

Spotted first by 9to5Google, the Galaxy S26 FE has appeared in the Wireless Power Consortium's database. It also confirms the model number of the smartphone, which is SM-S741. More importantly, the listing gives us our first look at the smartphone's design, which is in line with the images we saw in a Galaxy S26 FE case leak.

Based on the image, the Galaxy S26 FE appears to be getting a revamped camera design, similar to the one that the Galaxy S26 series launched earlier this year. The three camera lenses now sit on a vertical island, which strangely appears to be a bit too close to the top-left edge of the smartphone.
The camera island is accompanied by an LED flash. The front of the smartphone hosts a flat panel with a visibly smaller punch hole camera and slimmer bezels. The antenna lines are visible too across the smartphone's body. The back is clean with just a Samsung logo at the bottom, typical of Samsung smartphones.

While details about the phone and its specifications are scarce at the moment, many Galaxy S26 FE rumours suggest an Exynos 2500 processor inside, alongside a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and a 50 MP main camera.
The leaked model number SM-S741 also confirms that the Galaxy S26 FE spotted on Geekbench was indeed the upcoming FE. The benchmark had the phone running on Exynos 2500, the same chipset Samsung used in the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
While we don't have any info about the phone's potential launch timeline, industry insiders point to a Q3 2026 release. Considering the Galaxy S25 FE launched in early September 2026, the Galaxy S26 FE could follow the cadence and launch around the same time.
More information about the phone should surface after Samsung is finished with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series launch, expected on July 22, 2026. Until then, stay tuned.
