Samsung's Galaxy S26 FE just showed up on Geekbench ahead of its official launch. It's powered by a 10-core CPU and carries the model number SM-S741U. While there are no wild surprises here, the leaked Geekbench listing does give us a solid look at what is powering this phone.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Spotted Running Android 17

The Geekbench listing shows the S26 FE running Android 17 with 8GB RAM and a 10-core CPU cluster that can go up to 3.30GHz. A single core is running at 3.30GHz, 2x mid cores are clocked up to 2.75GHz, another 5 cores are clocked up to 2.36GHz, and 2 cores have a base frequency of 1.80GHz.

In the leaked Geekbench 6 listing, the Galaxy S26 FE has achieved 2,426 in single-core tasks and 8,004 in multi-core tasks. When compared to the last-gen Galaxy S25 FE, the CPU performance has seen a slight gain.

If we go by early numbers, the Galaxy S26 FE is around 13% faster in single-threaded workloads and about 15% faster in multi-core workloads, compared to the S25 FE, which is powered by Exynos 2400. However, it's decidedly weak against the flagship Exynos 2600 chipset, which powers the latest Galaxy S26 series in most regions.

Right now, it's unclear which chipset is powering the upcoming Galaxy S26 FE. There are two possibilities. One is the 3nm Exynos 2500 processor used in the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The Geekbench listing does reference the Xclipse 950 GPU, which matches that chipset. Another possibility is that it's an optimised version of the Exynos 2600, and it might be called the Exynos 2600e.

Apart from that, Samsung is expected to refine the overall package with improvements in efficiency and thermal management, especially if the 2nm process node is used. We know that Samsung's FE phones have never been about topping benchmark numbers. The FE series focuses on balanced camera performance, long-term software support, and excellent software experience.

The S26 FE is expected to arrive in the third quarter of 2026. However, with memory prices surging globally, Samsung may struggle to keep the Fan Edition phone affordable.
