The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ and the phone carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, along with an aluminium alloy frame.
At the back, the vertical triple-camera setup now sits inside a unified camera island rather than as separate lens cutouts, a change meant to align the FE's design language more closely with the rest of the Galaxy S26 family.

Powering the Galaxy S26 FE is Samsung's in-house Exynos 2500 chipset, a 3nm deca-core processor clocked at up to 3.2-3.3 GHz, paired with the Xclipse 950 GPU. The India variant comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Out of the box, the phone runs Android 17 with One UI 9 features, and Samsung is backing it with seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
Running on One UI 9, the Galaxy S26 FE gets Samsung's suite of context-aware Galaxy AI tools, including Now Brief for customizable daily briefing cards and Now Nudge for smart notification suggestions.
On the imaging side, the Galaxy S26 FE features a 50 MP primary rear camera with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture, a 12 MP ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree field of view and an 8 MP telephoto camera with OIS offering 3x optical zoom.

Up front, the selfie camera has been bumped up to 12 MP for wider group shots. Samsung's Nightography processing handles low-light scenes. Video capture also gets My FanCam, which automatically tracks and frames a chosen subject and Super Steady with Horizontal Lock for keeping footage level during fast movement.
The native Photos app also brings Photo Assist for prompt-based edits and Gemini Omni integration for auto-compiled gallery videos.
The Galaxy S26 FE packs a 4,900mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging and wireless charging, along with Wireless PowerShare for topping up other devices.
