Last month, word of a new Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro model for 2027 hinted at Samsung's idea of adding a fourth member to the Galaxy S27 lineup. This was expected to happen with the Galaxy S26 series, but got abandoned at the last moment. Now, it looks like chances are high next year, as alleged Galaxy S27 Pro camera details have now surfaced online.
Galaxy S27 Pro Could Bring An Entirely New Telephoto Camera
In a recent Weibo post, credible leaker Ice Universe has claimed that Samsung is planning to use a triple camera setup with the Galaxy S27 Pro. While the main and ultra-wide cameras are said to be the same as the Galaxy S27 Ultra, the telephoto camera is said to be entirely different from the Ultra model.

This comes as a direct contradiction to previous rumours that claimed the Pro variant will be a smaller Galaxy S27 Ultra with only the lack of S-Pen support being the primary differentiator. Hence, going by the leak, we can expect the Galaxy S27 Pro to feature the same 200 MP main camera, presumably the newer 200 MP ISOCELL HP5 sensor.
As for the ultra-wide camera, while it is hard to tell as to exactly which new sensor Samsung is planning to use, we can expect it to feature a 50 MP camera. Moreover, for the telephoto lens, the Galaxy S27 Pro might use the all-new Sony LYT-901 camera sensor, but paired with a 50 MP camera.

However, at the time of writing, we are not sure if by "new" the leaker means new generation camera sensors or just different. It is clear that the Galaxy S27 Ultra will be the top-of-the-line flagship and the Galaxy S27 Pro will sit right below that.
Hence, it is best to assume that the Ultra will get the newer sensors while the S27 Pro could share the sensors of the Samsung Galaxy S26+ or even the Galaxy S26 Ultra. That said, with almost a year left for launch, we still have plenty of time for more concrete details to emerge. So, stay tuned.
