Fresh off the recent Galaxy S27 Ultra design leaks, new information about the phone's physical dimensions and cutout placements has surfaced. According to tipster Ice Universe on X, the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra will largely preserve the physical footprint of its predecessor.

The tipster posted leaked renders similar to the previous Galaxy S27 Ultra design leaks, revealing that the Galaxy S27 Ultra retains virtually identical overall proportions and display measurements compared to the previous generation.

In a followup post, Ice Universe also revealed that Samsung is keeping the integrated S Pen silo on the left side of the bottom frame, with the primary bottom speaker also remaining on the left.

The most noticeable change remains the redesigned camera island. It now has a distinct, raised camera housing, inspired by the iPhone 17 Pro. Outside of this restructured camera bump, the two generations will look nearly indistinguishable.

While the Ultra may stick to its established component layout, Samsung appears to be reorganising the bottom port layout for the remaining devices in the roster.

According to the leak, the standard Galaxy S27, the larger Galaxy S27+, and the newly anticipated Galaxy S27 Pro will all see their bottom-firing speakers relocated to the right side of the USB-C charging port.

Samsung will differentiate the Galaxy S27 series primarily on display, camera, and pricing. Besides, the standard and Pro SKUs could be powered by the latest Exynos 2700 processor, whereas the Ultra could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor.

With Samsung finally ditching the vertical camera island after over half a decade and bringing much-needed upgrades to the cameras, the Galaxy S27 series could turn out to be a major revamp. More information should be revealed as we inch closer to launch, expected in February 2027, so stay tuned.
