In just a week, Samsung is all set to unveil the next 'Galaxy Z' series foldables at its annual Galaxy Unpacked event. Ahead of the launch, a new report has shared some interesting details regarding the slim profiles of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Leaker Setsuna Digital took to Weibo to share some of the core specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Starting with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, it is expected to be 8.9mm thin when folded and 4.2mm thin when unfolded. It also weighs 215 grams.
If true, this will make the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 the thinnest and lightest foldable on the market. For context, the Vivo X Fold 5 launched recently in China with a 4.3mm thickness when unfolded and 9.2mm when folded. It weighs 217 grams and is currently the thinnest and lightest book-style foldable.

Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will also get a bigger 6.5-inch outer display and an 8-inch inner display. To recall, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 came with a 6.3-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch display on the inside.
Apart from this, Samsung is also paying attention to its book-style foldables' durability with a glass-ceramic back panel and an armour aluminium mid-frame. It will also likely feature a triple rear camera setup with a 200 MP main sensor and a 10 MP selfie shooter with a 100° field of view. Expect the Galaxy Z Fold 7 to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset.

Other than that, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 leaked renders revealed the Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow and Jet Black colourways.
Coming to the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the tipster claims that Samsung will follow the "thin and light" mantra with its upcoming clamshell foldable as well. It is going to be thinner than last year's Galaxy Z Flip 6 at 6.5mm when unfolded and 13.7mm when folded. For context, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 launched with a 6.9mm thickness when unfolded and a 14.9mm thickness when folded.

However, looks like the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be heavier by a gram than the Galaxy Z Flip 6 at 188 grams. Apart from this, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also getting treated with a bigger battery at 4,300mAh. This is a 300mAh jump from the 4,000mAh capacity that we saw with the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
Apart from this, the device is expected to feature a 4.1-inch outer display with 1.25mm thick black bezels. The inner foldable display could feature a 6.9-inch panel. Both displays will support a 120Hz refresh rate and will be able to achieve up to 2,600 nits of peak brightness.
With that being said, nothing is confirmed as of yet. However, we will not have to wait long since Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for July 9, 2025, at 7:30 PM IST.
