Samsung has pushed the sixth One UI 9 Beta for the Galaxy S26 lineup, the first Beta since the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. The One UI 9 Beta 6 update changelog highlights that the update focuses mostly on bug fixes and user refinements.
One UI 9 Beta 6 is now available for all three Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphones. Carrying the build ZZHE, the update weighs 851 MB and includes the August 2026 security patch. The update is live for users in India, South Korea, the UK, Poland and Germany.
Coming to the changelog, Samsung has focused on fixing issues with the previous builds. Starting with fixing display errors affecting the Now Brief widget, Home and camera widgets. Besides, Samsung has issued fixes for an issue in which images are saved differently at specific focal lengths when shooting in Expert RAW 24 MP mode.
Joining the list of user-facing One UI 9 features is a new "Touch and hold for AI select" option on the Edge panels settings page. This is intended to ensure that long-pressing the peek window takes no action, helping users avoid triggering AI.
While testers in the US are notably excluded from this initial wave, the rollout is expected to expand to the region very soon. That said, we still don't know how many betas remain before Samsung decides the release is ready for a stable rollout.
Considering Samsung released 7 One UI 8 beta builds previously, we'd like to think there might be a few more coming in One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series. However, since the brand's full focus is back on One UI 9, we should expect these updates to roll out in rapid succession.
One UI 9's stable rollout should follow in the upcoming months on all One UI 9-eligible devices. Starting with the Galaxy S26 series, the update should trickle down to the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 and older smartphones.
