A couple of days ago, Samsung started teasing what could be its very first 'ultra' foldable. Now, the brand has teased what seems like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra as its "thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet."
Samsung took to its official blog to post a brief teaser to support its claim of the upcoming Galaxy Z series foldable being "thin, light and built to last."
The teaser shows the foldable opening and closing to highlight its slim profile. This became apparent when Samsung teased the 'Ultra' moniker for the Galaxy Z Fold series devices previously.

Although the post has not made any reference to the dimensions of the foldable, based on a previous leak, we can expect the device to come at just 3.9mm when unfolded. And this slim profile will also make the device lightweight. However, Samsung has assured that its take on 'thin and light' design for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra will not come at the cost of durability.
Sadly, the South Korean giant has not revealed any of its book-style foldable's specifications. However, thanks to leaks and reports, we can make a couple of assumptions.
What to Expect from Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra?
For starters, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.5-inch cover and an 8.2-inch inner display, respectively.
Under the hood, it will most likely pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and will miss out on the second-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which is due to launch on September 23, 2025, at the annual Snapdragon Summit. However, in some regions, Samsung might launch the device with an in-house Exynos SoC.
We might finally get to see a 200 MP primary sensor on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, just like last year's Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition was limited to South Korea. And finally, coming to the battery, it is still a big mystery whether Samsung will finally lean in towards Silicon Carbon tech, but the likelihood seems less.
All in all, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra will be a major addition to Samsung's next-gen foldable lineup. The series will also include the standard Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and the more affordable Z Flip 7 FE.
The Galaxy Unpacked launch event for foldables is usually scheduled for July, and this time around, we expect no difference. In a week or so, Samsung will very likely reveal the dates for its next Galaxy Unpacked event for foldables.
