Samsung held its annual Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, 2025. While it saw the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE and Galaxy Watch 8 lineup, the much hyped, tri-fold from Samsung didn't earn the spotlight. However, Samsung's mobile chief, TM Roh, has some interesting details to share about the triple-folding smartphone.
In an interview to TheKoreaTimes, TM Roh confirmed the existence of the triple folding Samsung smartphone as well as the launch window the brand intends to adhere to. According to him, Samsung is working actively to launch its debut tri-fold by the end of 2025.
However, nothing is set in concrete as yet. Roh mentioned that currently, the South Korean consumer tech leader is hard at work perfecting the tri-fold formula and understanding its different use cases.

Hence, the brand has not decided on its name as well. Previously, it was expected to be called the Samsung Galaxy G Fold. While it still might be the case, as we mentioned before, nothing is set in stone as of now.
This comes after the tri-fold was recently spotted within the One UI 8 beta build. It will reportedly feature a dual inner folding design, which will not venture out of the familiar Galaxy Z Fold series book-style foldable. It will likely feature a single outer display with two rear back panels and a single dual-folding screen. The hinges on the tri-fold likely fold inward to retain a form factor that is reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 when closed.
Other than that, it is also expected to feature a triple rear camera setup and draw its power from the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. It will most likely get paired with 16 GB RAM and up to 1 TB storage.
With that said, we will surely know more as Q4, 2025 approaches. In the meantime, keep tracking Beebom Gadgets for the latest on Samsung's triple folding smartphone.
