Summary

  • Vivo Pad 5e has launched in China with a 10,000mAh battery and 44W fast charging.
  • The tablet features 8 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras, as well as support for Vivo's Pencil 3 and Touch Keyboard 5.
  • Vivo Pad 5e starts at 1,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 25,000) and will go on sale from October 17, 2025, via the official Vivo China website.

Vivo launched its most-awaited X300 series smartphones today. However, to top it off, the firm has expanded its device portfolio with the Vivo Pad 5e, which flaunts a powerful Snapdragon processor, a big 12.1-inch display, a massive battery and more.

Vivo Pad 5e is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3

The Pad 5e from Vivo features an all-aluminium design with a 12.1-inch 2.8K 144Hz IPS LCD with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and DC dimming. The display of the Pad 5e variant with a Soft-light display features soft light eye protection to reduce glare and strain on the eyes.

Powering the tablet is a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, which is an octa-core processor. Optics-wise, the rear houses an 8 MP camera while the front brings a 5 MP snapper. There's a quad speaker setup on offer, and powering the internals is a 10,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging.

While Vivo briefly talked about the latest OriginOS 6 features on stage, the Pad 5e still comes with OriginOS 5 out of the box, which is weird. Speaking of which, Vivo says the Pad 5e can act as an extended screen for Windows and Mac while also boasting the ability to act as a portable file station.

The bottom hours a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, and connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. The tablet comes in three colour options – Grey, Lavender and Blue. Finally, the tablet supports Vivo's Pencil 3 and Touch Keyboard 5.

It's worth noting that the 128 GB storage variants of the Pad 5e are UFS 3.1, whereas the 256 GB and above variants feature UFS 4.1.

The Vivo Pad 5e's standard variant comes in four storage options, while the Soft-light edition arrives in two. The tablet starts at 1,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 25,000) for the base 8 GB + 128 GB variant and goes all the way to 2,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 37,000) for the 16 GB + 512 GB variant.

In addition, Vivo has also launched the Watch GT2 and TWS 5/Hi-FI, starting at 499 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 6,200) and 399 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 5,000), respectively.

The tablet will go on sale in China starting October 17, 2025, via the official Vivo China store. Interested buyers can already preorder starting today. As for India availability of the tablet, nothing can be said for sure at this point. However, given the brand's track record, it's very unlikely to make it to the Indian market.
