The Vivo T5 Pro launched in India just last month with an impressive price-to-specification ratio under Rs 30,000. Well, it appears the brand is now working to introduce a more toned-down, affordable Vivo T5 Lite in the subcontinent. The phone is expected to offer great value for money, ensuring users don't end up burning a hole in their pockets.
Vivo T5 Lite Is Coming Soon to India
According to Abhishek Yadav on X, the Vivo T5 Lite could launch in India by the end of this month, i.e., May 2026. The exact launch date of the smartphone is currently unknown, but previously leaked information points toward a bigger battery, faster charging and improved water resistance compared to its predecessor.

Abhishek also shared some early insights into what will power the smartphone. For starters, the Vivo T5 Lite is expected to run on either the Dimensity 6300 or Dimensity 6400 chipset, positioning it as a lower-mid-tier contender.
While the complete specification sheets of the smartphone are currently under wraps, 91Mobiles did share exclusive information about the smartphone's improved battery and charging speeds. According to them, the Vivo T5 Lite could arrive with a larger 6,500mAh battery and 44W fast charging support and an IP65 rating.

For those unaware, the Vivo T4 Lite arrived with a Dimensity 6300 processor, a 6,000mAh battery and a 90 Hz 6.74-inch HD display. Optics-wise, it featured a 50 MP main camera flanked by a 2 MP depth sensor.
Considering the trend of increasing battery capacities, the Vivo T5 Lite could arrive with a higher-capacity battery but retain most of the specifications from its predecessor. The phone also shares many similarities with the iQOO Z10X, so it might get a higher refresh rate 120 Hz display.
Since we are already midway through May, we should start seeing official teasers and announcements from Vivo very soon if the rumoured timeline holds. Until then, stay tuned.
