Vivo X500 Pro has been spotted in the wild ahead of its expected September release, giving us our first look at its design. The spotting reveals some key information about the changes in the smartphone's back design.
Images shared by tipster Wang Tengxiao on Weibo show Taiwanese pop icon Jay Chou with what's believed to be the Vivo X500 Pro. Given that Chou was the face of the Vivo X300 campaign, it is highly likely that he is returning as the primary brand ambassador for the X500 series as well.

The pictures reveal Chou holding the alleged silver X500 Pro variant horizontally as if he's shooting something. The images give us a glimpse of the huge circular camera module of the phone, with a flash sitting in the top-left corner. That suggests a slight shift in the flash's placement from the previous generation.

According to industry whispers, the base Vivo X500 may relocate its camera island to the top-left corner. Therefore, the device in the photo is believed to be either the X500 Pro or the top-tier Vivo X500 Pro Max. Moreover, given its fairly compact size, we believe it's the Pro, which is expected to arrive with a 6.59-inch display.
The Vivo X500 Pro is expected to boast a 144 Hz OLED display alongside a 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro processor. Its bigger rumoured sibling, the X500 Pro Max, could bring a slightly larger 6.85-inch display. While both are expected to boast triple camera setups, previously leaked Vivo X500 Pro Max camera specifications point to a 200 MP periscope telephoto snapper.
Besides, the smartphones could be powered by 6,500mAh+ silicon-carbon batteries while arriving with OriginOS 7 out of the box, based on Android 17. While Vivo has yet to give us an official release date, more information about the Vivo X500 series should surface as we inch closer to the launch, so stay tuned.
