As Chinese smartphone makers prepare to unleash their next-generation flagships in the market, more information about them is starting to surface online. A fresh leak about the upcoming Vivo X500 Pro Max hints at substantial camera upgrades, thanks to recent technological advancements in camera sensors.
Vivo X500 Pro Max Camera Specifications Leaked
According to the details shared by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Vivo X500 Pro Max is expected to include a versatile triple camera setup.
The highlight of the camera system is rumored to be a 50 MP primary 1/1.28-inch Sony sensor, believed to be either the Sony LYT838 or the recently launched Sony LYT910 LOFIC.
For those unaware, LOFIC stands for Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor. It's a hardware-level feature that manages contrast, helping the sensor retain details in extreme highlights and deep shadows for a much more natural output.

The secondary camera is expected to be a 200 MP 1/1.4-inch periscope telephoto camera, while the third could be a 50 MP ultrawide lens.
As noted in an early Vivo X500 Pro Max camera leak, the periscope camera is tipped to feature an 85mm focal length, offering 3.5x optical zoom. This could bring high-quality telephoto macro capabilities to the upcoming Vivo flagship. Besides, it is expected to come with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support.

Beyond cameras, a previous Vivo X500 Pro series chipset leak pointed to the phone being powered by a Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. It's expected to be MediaTek's first mobile processor built on TSMC's 2nm node process. The performance could be further elevated by next-gen LPDDR6 RAM support.
According to previous Vivo X500 Pro specs leaks, the phone could feature a huge 6.85-inch OLED 2K LTPO OLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate. The internals could be kept alive by a massive 8,000mAh battery.
Furthermore, a recent Vivo X500 series leak suggests the brand also has a Vivo X500e on the cards, but we don't have enough details about that model yet.
While Vivo has yet to reveal the official launch date of the Vivo X500 series, we expect more information about the phones to surface closer to the rumoured September China release window.
