The Vivo Y500i is the most entry-level offering in the series and brings 5G connectivity, durable build quality, 50 MP main camera and more. Here's a rundown of all the details.
Vivo Y500i Specifications and Features
Since it's an entry-level phone, there's not much going on in terms of specs. You get to see a 6.75-inch HD+ display at the front with a 120 Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 1,200 nits and a 90.60% screen-to-body ratio. Wrapping the display is a 8.49mm thick body that weighs around 219 grams. The build quality of the Vivo Y500i is top-tier with a dual IP68 + IP69 rating.

Powering the Vivo Y500i is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, paired with up to 12 GB LPDDR4X RAM (LPDDR5X on 8 GB variant) and 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage. In addition, Vivo has thrown in virtual RAM support. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 16 and comes with OriginOS 6 features out of the box.
For photography and videos, the Vivo Y500i features a 50 MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.8. At the front, the phone sports a 5 MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. Connectivity options are adequate and include dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Fueling it all is a massive 7,200mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. The phone uses a USB-C port for charging and data transfer purposes.

As for the Vivo Y500i price in China, it starts from 1,499 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 19,000) for the base 8 GB + 128 GB variants. There are 8 GB + 256 GB, 8 GB + 512 GB and 12 GB + 512 GB variants to choose from as well.
From the looks of it, the Vivo Y500i is definitely the most affordable phone in a lineup that consists of the regular Vivo Y500 and more premium Vivo Y500 Pro. Most importantly, it's definitely one of the best battery backup phones in the segment right now.
