The Xiaomi 17 series went official in China on September 25, 2025. Now, the brand has confirmed the lineup's arrival in India.

Xiaomi 17 series will launch in India soon

Anuj Sharma, the Chief Marketing Officer of Xiaomi India, at the ongoing Snapdragon Summit 2025 in Huawei, announced that the Xiaomi 17 series will officially arrive in India. He subsequently took to X to reveal the same. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, the exact launch date remains unannounced. But given that we now have an official confirmation, expect a concrete date soon enough.

However, we're not sure yet if all three devices in the lineup will make it to India. Chances are that only the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max make it, while the Xiaomi 17 Pro stays limited to the Chinese markets. Additionally, the Indian units will all feature the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, just like their Chinese counterparts.

They could very well become the first set of devices to bring the flagship chipset to the country. Moreover, the devices are also poised to become the first ever phones to feature Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update for fans in India to experience.
