Xiaomi appears to be gearing up to launch a new flip phone, the Mix Flip 2 in China on June 26. Ahead of the launch, the firm has revealed the design and potential colour options, including a few key specifications.
Xiaomi has confirmed on Weibo that the Mix Flip 2 will arrive with Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with dual VC (vapour cooling) 3D heat dissipation. The phone will be powered by a 5,165mAh SiC battery with 50W wireless charging.

Despite the battery upgrade, the phone has been slightly thinned down to just 7.57 mm (vs 7.6 mm on the Mix Flip) but is now a bit heavier at 199 grams (vs Flip's 190 gram weight).
Besides, there could be four colours on offer – Gold, Purple, Cyan, and Black. The images confirm a similar design language to its predecessor, with a vertical camera layout and chequered dual-tone styles.

The front cover screen is getting an aesthetic upgrade where it's now slightly curved at all three edges. Similarly, there appears to be a new hinge structure for better structural integrity. The cover display is the same size as the previous generation.
The inner display is a flat 6.86-inch 120 Hz AMOLED panel. Xiaomi claims it's made of ultra-tough flexible glass with negligible visible crease, and could be good for 200,000 folds.
The cameras now have accented rings, with the Leica branding on the hinge. Speaking of which, the Mix Flip 2 should feature a Leica Summilux f/1.7 primary camera and an f/2.2 ultrawide secondary camera, which replaces the telephoto from the previous iteration.
The launch event is scheduled on June 26, 2025 at 7:00 PM (4:30 PM IST) in China. We don't know if the Mix Flip 2 will arrive to global markets. Considering the first generation was China-exclusive, other markets could very well miss out. However, with Samsung all set to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 series in Galaxy Unpacked, the clamshell foldable market is heating up.
