Earlier in 2025, Xiaomi unveiled the Mix Flip 2 in China, but the flip phone never made it to the global markets. After a long silence from the brand regarding its foldable lineup, there's a new leak that sheds light on the camera details of the upcoming Mix Flip 3.
According to XiaomiTime, the Xiaomi Mix Flip 3 may feature a dual-camera setup consisting of a 200 MP main and 50 MP ultra-wide sensors. It could also equip a 32 MP selfie camera on the inner display. This would make the upcoming foldable phone, one of the few devices with a high resolution camera.
To put things into context, the Mix Flip 2 launched with a 50 MP primary Leica Summilux f/1.7 and 50 MP ultra-wide Summilux f/2.2 sensors at the back. It's possible that the Mix Flip 3 may feature the same secondary ultra-wide camera and "Leica" branding.

But the jump to a 200 MP lens marks a significant shift to the foldable market, and this will only be the second flip phone to feature a high-resolution camera after the Honor Magic V Flip 2. The report also notes that the Mix Flip 3 will likely launch only in China.
Since the Mix Flip 2 came powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, its successor is expected to get the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset that Qualcomm recently launched. The source points out that the Chinese brand is focusing its resources on the upcoming Mix Flip phone and less so on the Mix Fold series, so chances of a Mix Fold 5 releasing this year appear to be low.
