Xiaomi Pad 8 Series Officially Teased to Launch in China Later This Month

Xiaomi has officially teased its upcoming Pad 8 series, confirming that it will be unveiled in China later this month itself. The tablets will go official alongside the much-awaited flagship Xiaomi 17 series. 

Lu Weibing, General Manager of Xiaomi, described the new Pad 8 tablets as "thin and portable". Moreover, he also promised higher performance and efficiency with the upcoming Android 16-based HyperOS 3. Xiaomi will not be gatekeeping the new software and it is expected to arrive on HyperOS 3-supported devices soon.

Additionally, the teaser highlights an 11.2-inch display size and promises a "high-performance processor," which could be the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Apart from that, the teaser also showcases the Xiaomi Pad 8 in all its glory with a keyboard and stylus. Weibing states that the upcoming tablets will be "next-generation portable productivity flagship" tablets. 

Xiaomi Pad 8 Series Expected Specifications

Now, while the teaser doesn't reveal anything significant, thanks to leaks and reports, we know a few key specs of the upcoming tablets:

Xiaomi sure does plan on having a happening event with these tablets and bringing back a secondary screen on the Xiaomi 17 Pro. Although the exact launch date of the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi 17 is not known at the moment, we expect the brand to spill the beans very soon.
