With a launch event reportedly scheduled for September 9, 2025, Apple is expected to unveil its next generation of iPhones soon. These will include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max all of which have surfaced online via renders and leaks. If you've been planning to upgrade to the latest iPhone and want to see which colourway would suit you right, you've come to the right place. In this post, we'll give you a rundown of all the prospective colours that you may see on the upcoming iPhone 17 series.
iPhone 17 Colours
For the standard iPhone 17, Apple is sticking to the same design as on the iPhone 16, but you may be able to get them in new colours. These include:
- Black
- White
- Blue
- Green
- Purple

Apple retains the Black and White colours from the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus on the newer model. The Pink, Teal and Ultramarine shades are potentially getting replaced by Blue, Green and Purple colourways.
The Green variant on the iPhone 17 appears to be a tad bit vibrant than the Teal shade on the previous model. Blue, on the other hand, appears to be lighter in hues than iPhone 16's Ultramarine colour. While the Purple version looks set to replace last year's Pink colour, recent leaks indicate a similar shade.
iPhone 17 Air Colours
Compared to the regular iPhone 17, Apple's new ultraslim iPhone 17 Air could come in light pastel shades, which are far less vibrant than the standard and Pro models. Here are all the prospective iPhone 17 Air colours:
- Black
- White
- Light Blue
- Light Gold

Apple could be betting safe with the Black and White colourways, as they're among the traditional options that users have often for throughout the years. The not-so-conventional options are Light Gold and Light Blue, which are a bit paler and less flamboyant than previous offerings.
But it's not the first time apple has experimented with pastel shades. iPhone 15's Blue colour was predominantly white with a hint of blue. So this Light Blue could be a wonderful pick for those of you who wanted a little more colour, for the lack of a better word. The Light Gold option, however, appears to be a slightly faded version of the iPhone 14 Pro's Gold hue.
We're not sure about what the actual nomenclature of these colours could be but rumours point to a titanium frame that could be exclusive to the iPhone 17 Air. If that's true, you can expect these colours to take up the "Titanium" name as a prefix.
iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max Colours
For the Pro models of this year's iPhone, Apple has thrown a curveball with some striking new additions. Here are all the prospective colours of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max:
- Black
- White
- Dark Blue
- Orange

As previously mentioned, this year's Pro models may no longer equip a titanium frame, so you may not see the "Titanium" label on any of the colours. But with Orange and Dark Blue, Apple is offering bold choices for the first time alongside the traditional Black and White colours.
Orange is certainly eye-catching and may be the preferred option for those of you who wanted a Pro but liked the bright colours found on regular iPhones. The Dark Blue shade looks somewhat familiar to the Blue Titanium of the iPhone 15 Pro, but this one is of a slightly different hue.
If any of these colours turn out to be true, my personal favourite would be the Orange shade on the iPhone 17 Pro, followed closely by the iPhone 17 Air's Light Gold option. The Green colour might stand out in the crown if you're opting to get the standard iPhone 17.
And that's a wrap as far as iPhone 17 colours are concerned. The colours and names mentioned in this list are based on rumours and renders that we've seen online. Apple is yet to make these iPhones official and has not revealed anything about them yet. With its iPhone 17 series launch event expected on September 9, 2025, we should know more about these phones in the coming week.
