Apple rolled out the iOS 27.2 update just last week, with new features for the iPhone Duo and more. Now, the company has already moved on to the next update with the first iOS 27.3 developer beta update, for registered developers.
iOS 27.3 Developer Beta 1 Update: What's New?
The biggest change has arrived in StandBy Mode. StandBy on regular iPhones now works more like it does on the iPhone Duo. Users can customise both the digital and analogue clock faces, with multiple setups for each face. They can also swipe between them and pick colours and complications, much like Apple Watch faces.
Moreover, the iOS 27.3 developer beta 1 update finally adds Reachability to the iPhone Duo. On regular iPhones, Reachability pulls content down so users can reach the top of the screen. On the iPhone Duo’s wide display, it instead moves content from the left or right edge towards the middle, making it easier to use with one hand.
Moving on, Siri AI can now take actions in more apps, including Calendar, Journal, Messages and Music. Users can also ask Siri AI what it can do in supported apps. Moreover, Siri AI now supports four more languages: Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish and Norwegian.
Also, the redesigned Health app, which Apple pulled from the iOS 27.2 update, appears to be back in the iOS 27.3 developer beta 1. Apple plans to release it with iOS 27.3 before the end of the year.

- Audio Intelligence for Apple Watch: Siri Recap and Live Rewind are available in the watchOS 27.3 beta, which works with iOS 27.3.
- Apple Fitness+: New Gym Strength workouts.
- Safari: New vertical tabs and an adaptive dark mode.
The iOS 27.3 developer beta 1 is available for iOS 27-eligible iPhones enrolled in the Apple Developer Program. To install it, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates.
