How to Check IMEI Number on Xiaomi and Redmi Phones

Whether you are trying to find your Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco smartphone's warranty status or confirm its authenticity, you will eventually need to find your phone's 15-digit identification code. While finding your Redmi IMEI may seem complicated, the process is pretty straightforward. Whether you're performing a Xiaomi IMEI check, Poco IMEI check or standard Redmi IMEI check, the steps remain the same across MIUI and HyperOS.

Check Redmi IMEI Using Phone App

The absolute fastest way to do an IMEI number check on Redmi phones is by using a Xiaomi secret code in the device's Phone app. Just like checking the serial number on a Mi phone, this method works universally across almost all Android phones.

1. Open the Phone app on your Redmi, Xiaomi or Poco phone and then open the numeric keypad, followed by dialling *#06#.
2. A screen displaying your Xiaomi phone's IMEI number should instantly pop up. If you're using dual-SIM, you will see two separate IMEI codes listed.

This is pretty much similar to how to check Samsung IMEI number, Vivo IMEI number and Oppo IMEI number. 

Using Settings App to Check IMEI on Redmi, Xiaomi and Poco Phones

If you cannot use the dialler for any reason, you can easily find the IMEI number on Xiaomi phones store directly in the system settings.

1. Open the Settings app and head over to About phone > Detailed info and specs.

2. Then scroll to the bottom of this screen and tap on Status.
3. Here, you will find a complete list of your hardware identifiers, including the IMEI and serial number.

Check Redmi IMEI Using Original Retail Box

If your phone has a dead battery, a broken screen, or simply won't turn on, you can still perform a Mi IMEI check without needing to access the software. And for that:

1. Grab the original packaging of your Redmi, Xiaomi, or Poco smartphone and look at the bottom or sides of the box for a white barcode sticker.
2. The IMEI and serial number will be clearly printed right above or below the barcodes.

3. When shipped brand new, these phones come with a small, transparent sticker on the lower half of the rear glass. If you haven't peeled this off, it contains your exact IMEI.
4. Lastly, if you kept the original invoice, it should also have the IMEI printed on it at the top or at the bottom.
