One UI 9 is Samsung's next big software update, bringing Android 17 to your Galaxy smartphone along with tonnes of new AI features. The update brings support for Gemini Intelligence, which offers agentic capabilities to complete tasks on its own, as well as other smart features to make your daily life easy. So, here is a roundup of every new Galaxy AI feature coming to your Samsung devices with the One UI 9 update.
Complete List of New Galaxy AI Features in One UI 9
Most of these Galaxy AI features coming to One UI 9 were confirmed in the ongoing betas, while some were confirmed after the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra. So, based on all available information, here is a list of the new One UI 9 AI features.

More Contextual Now Nudge
Now Nudge is one of the new One UI 9 features that makes itself handy when you need it. It basically scans your conversation and shows suggestions based on the context. So, if I am talking to my friend about making plans for my birthday, I could get a Now Nudge to open the Calendar app.

Similarly, if my friend and I are thinking about picking a spot and how to get there, Now Nudge will show us a pop-up to open Google Maps. On foldables, it can keep the chat window open while acting on a Now Nudge suggestion side by side.
It first arrived on the Galaxy S26 series with the One UI 8.5 update, but it rarely triggered for me, only in the Google Messages app.

Gemini Intelligence on Galaxy
Gemini Intelligence is the biggest AI upgrade coming to Samsung phones with the One UI 9 update.

It creates agents to complete multi-step tasks with fewer prompts, from looking up tickets to finding and booking a table at a restaurant, and it is coming to 40 popular apps and services.
However, given the demanding resources, Gemini Intelligence needs a flagship-level chip, 12GB or more RAM, and support for Gemini Nano v3.
For now, it is only coming to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Z Fold 8 Ultra, with the rest of the devices getting it soon after.

Gemini Notebook
Gemini Notebook is another new AI feature which gives users a single workspace to pull together notes, images, recordings, files and documents instead of multiple apps.
Users can drag-and-drop items, files, links or images straight into a notebook and have Gemini turn that material into audio overviews, infographics, meeting recaps, visual summaries or full documents.

Creative Studio for Contacts
The One UI 9 update brings Samsung Creative Studio to the Contacts app. It might sound silly, but I think it makes more sense than you think.
I can use it to generate a personalised contact card or image for any of my saved numbers, all with a simple prompt. So, I can have a goofy animated contact card for my friends and a more lovey-dovey one for my girlfriends, bringing next-level customisations to the Contacts app.

Users can also customise the style, text and effects afterwards, all without leaving the app.

My FanCam
My FanCam crops any wide-angle video to a single subject and tracks their movement across the frame, keeping them in the centre.

For Apple users, I would say it's Samsung's version of Centre Stage. The company showcased this feature with the newly launched Galaxy Z Flip 8, Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra.
Driving Insights
Driving Insights uses your phone's sensors and location data to build a weekly AI summary of your driving habits. This includes acceleration, braking and steering behaviour too.
It activates automatically after your phone is connected to your car over Bluetooth. The results are displayed through Now Brief instead of a separate app.
I have not tried this feature myself, but it can be quite helpful for those learning how to drive a car and need suggestions to fix minor mistakes.
Users can also turn off this Galaxy AI feature if they don't want to get tracked.
AI Assistant Activity
Samsung has also included an AI Assistant Activity dashboard with the latest Z Fold 8 series. It is basically a single hub where you can check on all your Gemini Intelligence automations.
So, if you asked the AI to look up tickets for Spider-Man and book them for July 31, 2026, you can go to the dashboard to see what the AI did and which apps it interacted with on your phone, without having to go to every app yourself.
Enhanced Privacy Alerts
Alongside the AI push, One UI 9 introduces stronger privacy alerts that proactively flag suspicious activity, including apps and AI agents trying to access background permissions they should not need.
It is a direct response to how much access agentic AI features require to actually work, meant to keep users informed about what is going on with their devices.
These are all the new Galaxy AI features that are dropping soon on your Samsung phones along with the One UI 9 update. One UI 9 is still in its beta phase, with only the new foldables coming with it out of the box. But we will update this list and the description as more AI features arrive and we get our hands on them.
