The iPhone 14 will be available for effectively Rs 39,999 on Flipkart, which is a decent 24% markdown from its regular price of Rs 52,990. It's worth noting that the price includes a Rs 2,000 discount on eligible Credit Cards.
This makes the iPhone 14 the only iPhone to be available for under Rs 40,000 in this sale season. The iPhone 15 will also go on sale, but costs a bit more at Rs 43,749.
Is the Apple iPhone 14 worth your money?
So, is the iPhone 14 worth buying in Flipkart's Big Billion Days Sale 2025? The answer is no. There are some valid reasons why you shouldn't.
- The iPhone 14 at Rs 39,999 is a little too expensive for a three-year-old iPhone, since the iPhone 17 is already out.
- iPhone 16 is available for an additional cost of just Rs 12,000 on Flipkart, while iPhone 15 can be purchased for just Rs 3,749 more on Amazon. However, we have our reasons to skip iPhone 15 during the sale.
- The iPhone 14 is powered by Apple A15 chipset, which is four generations behind the latest Apple A19 chip on the iPhone 17.
- iPhone 14 lacks Apple Intelligence features and will support software updates for three more years, until at least iOS 29.
- iPhone 14 doesn't feature the Dynamic Island and still comes with a notch, so you lose out on Live Activities.
- iPhone 14 equips lower-rated 12 MP main and ultrawide cameras compared to the most recent iPhones, which offer a higher resolution 48 MP sensors.
- With just 20 hours of video playback, the iPhone 14 battery is 30% lower than the iPhone 17 which lasts up to 30 hours.
If you cannot spend anything more than Rs 39,999 and need an iPhone for your folks or children, the iPhone 14 is your one and only option.
However, we'd recommend stretching your budget a little further to get the iPhone 15 at least, if not the iPhone 16. That's because the iPhone 14 misses out on many hardware features and Apple Intelligence that add to a wholesome iPhone experience.
If an iPhone isn't your priority, but you want a good phone in the same price bracket, you could also check out the Galaxy S24 or Pixel 9 deals on Flipkart, as they objectively offer a superior performance, camera and may last you longer in terms of updates.
