Ai+ is putting a renewed focus on privacy and data security with the announcement of NxtQuantum OS v1.1. The update comes as the company continues to address questions around data sovereignty and privacy, with Ai+ now sharing the findings of a detailed Network Traffic Security Review to offer greater clarity on how its software handles user data.
NxtQuantum V1.1 Focuses on Privacy Features
In a press release, Ai+ has outlined its approach to data sovereignty through a Network Traffic Security Review. According to the audit, none of the network traffic destinations identified was routed to China or Hong Kong.
Out of 1,226 logged connection records, analysing 172 unique IPs, the system detected zero high or critical security threats. However, it's worth noting that 62 records were flagged as unknown, with no trace of them anywhere whatsoever.
Until we have the attribution, we can't say what those flagged connections were actually for, even though none currently go to China/HK.
The report also provides a breakdown of where network traffic is directed. Most of the activity remains within India, with 147 unique IPs managed by Bharti Airtel. The only data packets identified as leaving India are pings to the US for core Google services, alongside 18 unique IPs routed to the US and 6 to Singapore.
Alongside the audit, Ai+ says NxtQuantum OS v1.1 introduces a streamlined NxtPrivacy Dashboard, giving users a central place to manage app permissions. Users can also revoke permissions more easily, providing greater control over which apps can access their data.
Besides, the enhanced background activity visibility will help users see which apps are accessing sensitive resources outside of active use. Finally, the OS will send privacy alerts to identify excess permissions.
Commenting on the release, Ai+ CEO Madhav Sheth said that the future of technology depends on trust as much as capability. The company says initiatives such as independent audits under Project Open Review 2.0 are part of its broader effort to provide greater transparency around NxtQuantum OS and strengthen user confidence.
Ai+ has not yet shared a specific release timeline or confirmed which version of Android NxtQuantum OS v1.1 is based on. The update is expected to begin rolling out to the Nova 2 and Pulse 2 series soon.
