After releasing the iOS 26.1 Developer Beta 2 on October 8, 2025, Apple has now started seeding the iOS 26.1 Developer Beta 3 build today. This is the third iOS 26.1 developer beta update, which refines the iOS 26 design language further and brings a bunch of new features as well.
iOS 26.1 Developer Beta 3 adds new languages to Apple Intelligence
After releasing the iOS 26 stable build almost a month ago, Apple has now decided to ship the third developer beta for iOS 26.1. As part of this new update, iOS 26-supported devices will now be able to experience new languages in Apple Intelligence and AirPods Live Translation.
Languages like Chinese (traditional), Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, and Vietnamese have now been added to Apple Intelligence with this new beta update from Apple. Meanwhile, the Live Translation feature on AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 3 will now support US and UK English, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish (Spain).
Other than that, the iOS 26.1 Developer Beta 3 build has carried forward several of the features which were introduced with the iOS 26.1 Public Beta 2 update. There is the new Slide to Dismiss gesture in Alarms and Timers, as well as a new Swipe gesture for changing songs in the Music App.
That said, eligible users can install iOS 26.1 Developer Beta 3 update by heading over to Settings> General> Software Update> Update Now. Alongside iOS 26.1, Apple is also expected to ship third developer beta updates of iPadOS 26.1, macOS 26.1, watchOS 26.1, tvOS 26.1 and visionOS 26.1.
