After releasing the first developer beta of iOS 26.2 on November 6, 2025, Apple has now started shipping the developer beta 2 build of iOS 26.2, starting today. This is the second developer beta and the latest update has updated several of the core first-party apps and added visual tweaks to the UI.
iOS 26.2 Developer Beta 2 brings a fine-tuned Sleep Score System
The latest public beta build comes just five days after the first iOS 26.2 public beta went live. As part of this new update, iOS 26-supported devices will now gain access to a more refined Apple Sleep Score system. It is now much more true to life and has been tweaked based on user feedback.
As part of the update, the previous "Excellent" rating has now been replaced with "Very High". Each range in between now offers a more realistic threshold that better emulates the user's actual sleep quality.

Additionally, the new developer beta update has infused Apple Podcasts with AI. From AI-generated chapters to better linking to reference podcasts, users can now make use of AI to streamline their listening experience.
Moreover, the Reminder App now lets users trigger alarms and timers for urgent tasks by bypassing Focus Mode. This ensures that high-priority notifications can get through anytime.
Design-wise, the lockscreen now supports a much more granular Liquid Glass slider that precisely controls the amount of tinting for each clock. There is also now a new pill-shaped popular links and topics section atop the Apple News homepage for easy and quick access.
Lastly, starting December 2025, the new language support for AirPods Live Translation will arrive in European Union (EU) countries.
That said, eligible users can install the iOS 26.2 developer beta 2 update by heading over to Settings> General> Software Update> Update Now. Alongside iOS 26.2, Apple is also expected to ship the general stable updates of iPadOS 26.2, macOS 26.2, watchOS 26.2, tvOS 26.2 and visionOS 26.2.
