It has been nearly three weeks since Apple released the iOS 26.6 Developer Beta 2 update and now the brand is rolling out iOS 26.6 Developer Beta 3. While the latest beta doesn't introduce any major new features, it brings a handful of refinements and quality-of-life improvements to iPhones.

iOS 26.6 Developer Beta 3 Update: What's New?

Much like the previous beta release, the highlight of iOS 26.6 Developer Beta 3 is a fresh set of security enhancements for Apple Maps.

Another major addition is the new Blocked Contacts Limit alert, which first appeared in the iOS 26.6 developer beta 1 update. The feature is intended to send iPhone users a text warning if they end up exceeding the maximum number of blocked contacts.

This bars users from blocking more contacts unless and until they clear the current list manually. Depending on your iPhone and iOS version, the limit currently sits between 8,000 and 20,000 blocked contacts on Apple iPhones.

Beyond these changes, iOS 26.6 Developer Beta 3 primarily focuses on under-the-hood optimisations, bug fixes and stability improvements.

That said, the iOS 26.6 developer beta 3 update is currently rolling out for all eligible iPhones, from the iPhone 11 to the iPhone 17e.

Users can download and install the new version by navigating to Settings -> General -> Software Update -> Update Now. You can also refer to our quick guide on how to install iOS 26 beta on your iPhone to make things easier.
