Apple has kicked off the new year with a slew of product launches. From the launch of the iPhone 17e to the AirPods Max 2, the Cupertino brand has refreshed a lot of its existing product portfolios. However, we have yet to see the entry-level iPad 12th Gen and it looks like Apple is working to release it soon.
Apple iPad 12 launch reportedly set for 2026
A new report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has revealed that while Apple's March product refresh cycle didn't include a new budget iPad, it is still on track to launch in 2026. Currently, the "budget" spotlight has been stolen by the all-new MacBook Neo and it could be that Apple didn't want to steal its thunder.

The biggest upgrade this year with iPad 12 has to be the addition of Apple Intelligence support. At the time of writing, only the iPad 11th generation is devoid of Apple Intelligence features. This is primarily due to the outdated Apple A16 processor and less RAM inside the iPad 11.
However, with the iPad 12th Gen allegedly getting the Apple A18 chipset, it will join the ranks of the iPad Mini, iPad Air and iPad Pro with Apple Intelligence features. There is also a high chance that it will gain the new Gemini-powered Siri upgrade.
Aside from that, there doesn't appear to be anything else new with the upcoming iPad 12. It could feature the same 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, Touch ID and 5G support, 12 MP cameras and Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil compatibility. For pricing, since Apple has hiked prices of its latest generation hardware, we expect the iPad 12 to start from $400 (approximately Rs 38,900).
