Apple's iPhone 18 Pro has been making headlines months ahead of launch and this time, it's all about a fresh coat of paint. A new leak suggests that the Cupertino giant is preparing an interesting set of iPhone 18 Pro colour options, with a 'Dark Cherry' finish popping out most.
'Dark Cherry' Could Be the Signature iPhone 18 Pro Colour
According to a report by MacWorld, Apple is working on a new deep wine-red shade called Dark Cherry for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
This new colourway is expected to replace the current 'Cosmic Orange' finish seen on the iPhone 17 Pro as the signature shade. Unlike last year's brighter tone, this new colour is said to lean towards a more muted, premium aesthetic while still standing out as the hero option.

This falls in line with the 'Deep Red' colour option that previous iPhone 18 Pro colour leaks have suggested. However, we see a slightly darker wine shade. As per the latest report, this shade is based on the Pantone 6076C colour code. Additionally, Apple is reportedly internally testing other colours using Pantone references. Here's a quick rundown:
- iPhone 18 Pro Light Blue (Pantone 2121C) - Similar to Mist Blue seen on the iPhone 17
- iPhone 18 Pro Dark Grey (Pantone 426C) - Offers a more understated and classic look
- iPhone 18 Pro Silver (Pantone 427C) - Expected to resemble the current generation's lighter grey finish
We also get a look at the design renders of the iPhone 18 Pro in these new colour options. They fall in line with previously leaked iPhone 18 Pro CAD renders, indicating only minor tweaks, including a smaller Dynamic Island, which could free up more real estate for multimedia consumption.
There are also hints at improved finishing, with Apple potentially reducing the visible gap between the camera bump and the rear glass for a cleaner look.
The iPhone 18 series is expected to debut in September 2026, following Apple's typical release cycle. However, as with all early leaks, details including the iPhone 18 Pro colour options could change before the final announcement.
