iPhone 18 Pro is expected to be Apple's next big iPhone release, and according to a host of rumours, it will be one of the most exciting iPhone releases in a while. While many rumours about the smartphone's specifications and design changes have surfaced, the latest renders help visualise them, hinting at a radical design change.c
iPhone 18 Pro colours and design changes revealed
A video posted by Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech visualises the rumoured iPhone 18 Pro, bringing months of supply chain chatter into action. The renders suggest Apple could bring three new colours – Burgundy, Brown and Purple, alongside significant hardware and design changes.

The most striking change is the move to under-display Face ID for iPhone 18 Pro, originally rumoured for iPhone 21. Furthermore, by hiding the sensors beneath the panel, Apple could reduce the front cutout to a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, which could be located in the top-left corner. Despite the hardware change, the Dynamic Island is expected to remain.
The iPhone 18 Pro is rumoured to adopt a variable aperture for its main camera, which could help users control the amount of light that enters the camera and the depth of field for bokeh. Therefore, the iPhone 18 Pro's cameras could rely less on software processing and slightly more on hardware for natural depth of field control.

Although Prosser noted that this feature may remain exclusive to the larger Pro Max model. He also claims Apple had originally planned to ship variable aperture with iPhone 17 Pro, but scrapped the plans.
Internally, the phone is expected to run on the A20 Pro made on TSMC's 2nm process. Furthermore, Apple could ditch Qualcomm by debuting its own C2 modem. The Camera Control button could be changed from a capacitive one to a pressure-based one. This step is reportedly being taken to save on manufacturing costs and to make repairs easier.

Lastly, Prosser also notes that Apple is working on 5G satellite connectivity, expanding its Emergency SOS services. He predicts that by the time this technology is fully implemented, Apple CEO Tim Cook will have stepped down, with John Ternus taking the lead.
The iPhone 18 Pro launch date is reportedly set for Fall 2026, alongside the rumoured wide iPhone Fold. More information about the smartphone should be revealed as we inch closer to launch, so stay tuned.
