Apple's first foldable is easily one of the most anticipated devices right now and it's coming out later this year. While we've seen a host of dummy unit leaks, design rumours and specifications, the latest real-life images offer us the best look yet at the iPhone Fold, which is rumoured to arrive as the iPhone Ultra.
iPhone Foldable Leaked Yet Again
Shared by prominent tipster Sonny Dickson, the physical mockups of the upcoming iPhone Fold/Ultra sport a unique, wide passport-style form factor. It's significantly shorter than the current generation of Samsung foldables. The design suggests that the previous iPhone Fold case leak was pretty much bang on.

According to Dickson, it folds into a compact 5.5-inch outer display, which is spot on with previous iPhone Fold display leaks. It unfolds into a 7.8-inch inner display that provides just as much space as the iPad Mini. The design also hints at the front camera being on the top-left side. Apple has joined hands with Samsung to make the iPhone Fold screen creaseless.
From the back, the dummy unit appears in an almost lighter sage green colourway, although we're unaware if it will be one of its official colours. The horizontal camera island houses two cameras and what looks like holes and an LED flash. From the front, the phone gives off a very Microsoft Surface Duo vibe with the hinge mechanism slightly shrinking at the top and bottom in the middle.

Besides the design, a major shift in the hardware could be that Apple may omit Face ID entirely and use Touch ID instead in the side button for unlocking the phone. The phone is likely to miss out on a Telephoto snapper as well, primarily due to space constraints.
As for the colours, Dickson hints at the Fold launching in limited colours. Apple could limit it to just White, but earlier iPhone Fold colour reports did hint at a Black option.
Apple's WWDC 2026 is set for June 8, 2026, where the firm is expected to reveal iOS 27. AI could be WWDC's primary focus, and all the announced features are expected to make their way to iPhone Fold out of the box. The smartphone itself is expected to launch in September 2026, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series.
