The iPhone Fold is Apple's most anticipated launch of 2026, marking the brand's first step into the foldable space. As expected, there is a lot of hype around the smartphone and while the Cupertino brand has not spilt any official details yet, case makers have seemingly started prepping for launch. The alleged case design for the iPhone Fold has now managed to surface in the wild.
iPhone Fold Case Leak Confirms Passport-like Wide Aspect Ratio
The information comes straight from French tech publication iPhoneSoft, which managed to spot a rogue listing for an iPhone Fold third-party case ahead of any official confirmation. Since the designs and dimensions are moulded out of actual CAD renders and dummy units, we can expect them to be fairly accurate.

The above image further corroborates the previously leaked 3D iPhone Fold renders and confirms the wide passport-style design of the upcoming phone. We get to see it in both a transparent case and an opaque black silicone case with a rugged look.
Moreover, they also feature the same horizontal camera plateau, like the iPhone Air, but with a dual camera setup. The buttons' position on the iPhone Fold could be interesting, as apart from the power button and the Camera Control buttons on the right side, Apple appears to be positioning the volume buttons at the top of the right half.

The phone will also feature a USB-C port at the bottom with a quad speaker setup. Also, an important thing to note is that both the leaked cases contain a clear sign of MagSafe charging for the iPhone Fold. This was previously confirmed by a real-life iPhone Fold case design leak, but the dummy units of the phone do not contain a MagSafe charging cutout.
This could mean Apple is going the Samsung route by skipping native MagSafe charging integration, similar to the Galaxy S26 series. That said, since nothing is official yet, we urge our readers to take this info with a grain of salt.
If all go as planned, Apple will unveil the iPhone Fold at its launch event in September 2026. The brand is aiming for a creaseless display on iPhone Fold and could bring a iPad-like form-factor with a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.49-inch outer panel. Apple also plans to use liquid metal for the iPhone Fold hinge and could be powered by the Apple A20 Pro chipset.
