Apple's highly anticipated foldable smartphone is rumoured to debut by the end of 2026, and following the countless leaks and rumours we've seen so far, the latest 3D CAD renders leak gives us a look at what the brand has been cooking behind the scenes.
iPhone Fold could bring a new foldable form factor
The fresh iPhone Fold renders arrive courtesy of Sonny Dickson via X, right on schedule for the usual season of Apple hardware leaks. They align with the previous rumours about Apple working on a unique wide form factor, with the back of the phone reminiscent of the iPhone Air. However, unlike the Air, the back of the Fold has two cameras instead.

It also appears that Apple will use a punch hole of sorts on the cover display, which could debut in the iPhone 18 Pro. The renders also provide a clear look at the iPhone Fold's physical structure with rounded edges on two corners when folded, while the rest could be pointed to accommodate the folding hinge.
While not much is known about the iPhone Fold at the moment, previous leaks and rumours suggest it will boast a crease-free display. The cover display is expected to be a 5.5-inch unit, while the inner screen could measure up to 8 inches.

The smartphone is expected to run Apple's upcoming A20 Pro chipset, which will be based on TSMC's 2nm process. Previous iPhone Fold rumours suggest it could be paired with a custom N2 wireless chip, C2 modem and 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
The dual-rear cameras on the back are expected to be a 48 MP sensor combined with a 48 MP ultrawide lens. Besides, details about iPhone Fold's unlocking system have also surfaced, suggesting that the phone could skip Face ID for Touch ID.
With the phone expected to debut alongside iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max later this year, more information about its specifications and potential pricing should be unveiled as we inch closer to launch. Not to mention that it could also be called the iPhone Ultra. So, stay tuned.
