Apple has started rolling out the iOS 26.5.2 and iPadOS 26.5.2 updates to all supported devices. This comes just a month after the iOS 26.5.1 update, which was primarily aimed at the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air. The latest update patches almost 29 security vulnerabilities, but there is no new feature to speak of.
Apple Prepares to Say Goodbye to iOS 26
While users have shifted their attention to the upcoming iOS 27 update and all the new Siri AI features, Apple is patching up any leftover cracks in iOS 26. The new iOS 26.5.2 update does not bring any notable features or even a minor change. Instead, it addresses 29 security issues with WebKit.

For those who don't know, WebKit is Apple's browser engine for Safari and primarily affects the browser. This is especially worth paying attention to, as it affects all Apple iPhones and third-party browsers that are based on the WebKit engine.
Alongside this update, Apple has also rolled out iOS 26.6 Developer Beta 3, further tying up loose ends and preparing the iOS 27stable update for an expected September 2026 release.
That said, the lack of features clearly signals that the Cupertino giant is done with iOS 26 and wants to shift all their attention to the ambitious iOS 27 update coming this September.
How to Install the iOS 26.5.2 Update?
iOS 26.5.2 update is releasing for all iOS 26-supported devices, including the iPhone 11 up to the latest iPhone 17 family. To update to the latest version, head to Settings > General > Software Update and download the latest version available for your device.
