Following the iOS 27 Developer Beta 1 update, Apple has now rolled out iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 2. Both releases are a follow-up to the iOS 27 stable release and have expanded the new iOS and Siri AI experience to eligible iPhones.
iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 2 Update: What's New?
The second iOS 27.2 Developer Beta update is 1.8 GB in size and expands access to the redesigned Health app to more iOS 27 eligible iPhones.
The refreshed Health app introduces Apple Intelligence-powered insights, a new Longevity tab, a Readiness score, perimenopause and menopause tracking and a new Health Sensing System for the Apple Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4.
The iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 2 update also added support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish languages to Siri AI. However, Siri AI is still in beta and broader language support is planned to roll out more widely in October 2026.
The latest iOS beta also enables dual capture for group FaceTime calls, letting users share both their front and rear camera feeds simultaneously. The feature was expanded with the iOS 27 stable update and, until now, has remained limited to the iPhone 17 series for one-on-one FaceTime calls.
Moreover, Apple TV profiles, which debuted in the Apple TV app with tvOS 26.2, are also now part of the iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 2 update. Also, Apple Music now uses less of the icon’s colour for labels in the app.
Rest, "Up Next" in Apple Podcasts has now been renamed to "New Episodes." The "Continue Playing" section has moved directly below New Episodes and podcasts now come with colour-matched backgrounds on episodes.
That said, registered beta testers can download and install the iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 2 update by heading to Settings -> General -> Software Update.
The update is available to those on at least the iPhone 11 and extends up to the latest iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the iPhone Duo.
