Apple is expected to host its iPhone 17 series launch event sometime next month. While previous leaks have hinted at a September 9, 2025 release date, nothing has been officially confirmed yet. However, it looks like Apple might soon confirm this date after it accidentally leaked the event banner.
As spotted by X user @LeakerApple, the Apple TV accidentally displayed the upcoming launch event invite, hinting that the iPhone 17 series may very well be unveiled on September 9, 2025.

The user has shared an iPhone screenshot of the Apple TV app's search screen, showing a preview of the Apple logo with the "Apple Event 09.09.25" text. There's also a shot of a MacBook screen showing the same poster.
The images don't reveal an event name, so this may not be the full invite poster but a banner that's in place for the event video which will be livestreamed on the Apple TV app, like previous events. The event banner have since then been taken down by Apple, and we couldn't find the same on the Apple TV apps on our iPhone and Mac.
Upon inspecting the poster up close, we can see a light purplish glow behind the Apple logo, and as the source points out, it appears to feature the same hues as that colours of the original MacBook Air wallpaper from 2008. It's likely a subtle way of embracing the upcoming iPhone 17 Air.
The latest leak hints that Apple's official announcement for the September launch date is right around the corners. The date may potentially remain unchanged, as this was part of internal information shared by German mobile operators, and it's in line with Mark Gurman's report which suggested the second week of September as the launch date.
