The Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro launched in China in July 2026 and now it looks like the global variants of the lineup are just around the corner. Looks like the global launch of the phones will also see the addition of a new Redmi Note 17 Pro Max variant.
Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has shared what appears to be the official specs sheet for all three phones on X, giving us a full picture of what to expect ahead of their global debut.
Redmi Note 17 5G Specifications Leaked
The base Redmi Note 17 5G could feature a 6.99-inch Full HD+ eye-care AMOLED display offering a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 1800 nits of peak brightness. There may also be Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection on top, which is said to be rated for 3,000 scratch cycles.
Under the hood, the phone could be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable by up to 2 TB via microSD.
Battery capacity is said to come in at 7,700mAh with 45W turbo charging, which Xiaomi seems to be claiming is good for beyond two days of use. Due to the huge battery capacity, it may measure 169.70 x 79.14 x 8.45mm and weigh 225 grams.
Camera-wise, the Redmi Note 17 global variant could stick to a single 50 MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, paired with a 16 MP f/2.45 front camera. The phone may also get IP65 dust and water resistance, an in-display fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock and NFC.
On the software side, it may run HyperOS 3 with Google Gemini and Circle to Search built in. The phone is expected in Celestial Purple, Sky Teal and Black colourways.

Stepping up to the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, the display could get bumped up to a 6.83-inch 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a much higher 3,500 nits peak brightness. It could also be protected by a stronger Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 with 3-metre certified drop resistance.
Durability may see a jump overall, with the Pro model reportedly carrying IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings alongside 2-metre, 72-hour certified water resistance.
Under the hood could be the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage (UFS 2.2 on the 128 GB storage model).
The battery capacity is said to rise to 8,340mAh, backed by 67W HyperCharge. However, due to the slightly smaller form factor, despite packing a larger battery, the phone may weigh less than the regular variant at 222 grams. The phone measures 163.45 x 78.27 x 8.46mm.
Optics are said to include a 50 MP f/1.8 OIS-enabled main camera alongside an additional 8 MP ultrawide lens, with a 16 MP f/2.4 front camera for selfies. Audio gets a boost too, with a 300% volume boost feature, alongside Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to come in Black, Sky Blue, Satin Orange and Purple colourways.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G Specifications Leaked
Topping the lineup is the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G, which could share its display and durability credentials with the Pro model. However, it pushes the chipset up to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5.
The standout upgrade here is the massive 9,210mAh silicon-carbon battery paired with 100W HyperCharge, which is said to be enough for up to three days of use.
Cameras also see a notable jump, with a 50 MP f/1.5 OIS main camera and a considerably upgraded 32 MP front camera capable of 4K @ 30 FPS video recording. The rear setup uses the same 8 MP ultrawide though.
Due to the beefed-up specs, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is also the thickest of the lot, coming with dimensions of 163.44 x 78.27 x 8.65mm. It also weighs the most at 229.5 grams.
The Pro Max model also picks up Xiaomi's HyperAI features on top of Gemini and Circle to Search. It's expected to launch in Black, Cloud Blush, Green, and Purple colourways.
While the leak gives us a comprehensive look at what all three phones will offer, Xiaomi hasn't confirmed pricing or a launch date for the global Redmi Note 17 series just yet.
Given that the China variants of the Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro have already gone official, a global launch (including India) shouldn't be too far off. So, stay tuned for all the updates.
