The Pixel 11 lineup will be launching at the Made by Google event on August 12, 2026, with a new HiLight feature in tow. Designed to work as a rear notification light, the feature could be one of the more noticeable additions to the lineup. However, a new leak suggests it may be exclusive to the Pixel 11 Pro models, leaving the regular Pixel 11 without it.
According to a recent leak from evowizz on X, the vanilla Pixel 11 will not include the new rear LED array. This HiLight feature, previously rumoured as Pixel Glow, will be strictly reserved for the Pro-tier devices.
While the exact scope of this LED's utility seems somewhat limited on the hardware side, those looking to use it will need to skip the most affordable model in the lineup.
Besides, the phone will stick to 12 GB of base RAM, despite rumours suggesting a downgrade to 8 GB due to the ongoing RAM crisis. Conversely, the Pixel 11 Pro models will reportedly limit their 16 GB RAM configurations to higher storage capacities only. While the amount of RAM isn't changing, the Pixel 11 series could get a price increase.
The source also suggests that those holding out for improvements in camera zoom will be disappointed, as the Pixel 11 will feature the same 10.8 MP 5x telephoto sensor as the Pixel 10. That said, the phone is rumoured to get a new 50 MP main camera.
With all of that out of the way, the Pixel 11 series is expected to be powered by the Tensor G6 processor, which recently appeared in the Pixel 11 Pro XL on Geekbench. Besides, all models could receive slightly larger batteries and a more recessed camera island.
The Pixel 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL and 11 Pro Fold are confirmed to feature the HiLight feature (aka Pixel Glow) alongside a brighter display and a new MediaTek M90 modem. With the launch all set for August 12, 2026, more information should be revealed during the launch, so stay tuned.
