Ahead of Google's Pixel 11 launch event on August 12, 2026, the company has dropped a teaser for the Pixel 11 Pro, offering the clearest look yet at the upcoming Pixel Glow feature. This comes after the subtle Pixel Glow tease we got earlier this month.
The latest video showcases the rear of the phone with a spinning RGB-style Glow effect in the horizontal camera module. Now, we don't think the bar itself will light up, and the animation is more likely meant to highlight it as one of Pixel's distinct design traits.
While we don't have official info about the potential uses of Pixel Glow, a previous leak of the tool from Android Authority revealed its potential use cases.
The text and strings in the Pixel Glow settings page on Pixel phones suggest Pixel Glow will use subtle light and colour on the back of the device to inform users of important activity when they place their phones face down. The page also confirms Pixel Glow will light up for incoming calls.
Beyond teasing Pixel Glow, the video positions the Google Pixel 11 Pro as the ultimate hardware upgrade for users already invested in Google's ecosystem.
With the instrumental track of "I Can" by Nas playing in the background, the teaser highlights a long list of Google's first-party services, including Gemini, Search, Maps, Gmail, and Workspace apps like Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
