The annual Made by Google event that's scheduled for August 20, 2025, is expected to see the launch of not just the Pixel 10 series of phones, but also the Pixel Buds 2a. Well, we have just gotten our best look ever at the upcoming budget earbuds from Google.
Thanks to folks over at Android Headlines who have been on a roll with these renders recently, the Google Pixel Buds 2a have now leaked in an Iris colourway. Yes, this is the same off-white colour option that the Pixel 9a arrived in. Fun fact though – while the Buds 2a case does embrace the new Iris shade, on the inside, the earbuds and everything else are sprinkled with a purplish hue.

Besides, the Pixel Buds 2a don't look anything like their direct predecessor, the Pixel Buds Series-A, which launched way back in 2021. In terms of design, the earbuds actually closely resemble the flagship Pixel Buds 2 Pro that landed last year. There are some minor changes, definitely, like a smaller grille and more exciting colours.
Apart from the Iris, the earbuds are said to arrive in the Strawberry and Fog Light colour options. The publication also suggests that the affordable earbuds could be bundled in some Pixel 10 series pre-orders in Europe and the UK.
Additionally, the Pixel Watch 4 renders were also revealed recently, alongside the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro Fold as well as the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL. Apart from this, we also know that Google will launch its PixelSnap series of Qi2-supported accessories.
With the Pixel 10 series launch being a few weeks away still, expect to see more details surface in the coming days leading up to it.
