The Pixel Tag is expected to debut at the Pixel 11 series launch on August 12, 2026, and a new leak has now revealed how much it could cost. It looks like Google could be taking the fight straight to Apple's AirTag.
Google Pixel Tag Price Leaked
Building on the Pixel Tag renders that appeared last week, Dealabs has revealed the potential pricing of the device. According to them, the European retail price of the Pixel Tag is reportedly set at 35 Euros (approximately Rs 3,600), the same as Apple's AirTag's 35 Euro price.
Therefore, we could expect Google to price it similarly to the AirTag in the US, which is $30 (approximately Rs 2,900). Considering Google follows Apple's pricing footsteps, the Pixel Tag could be priced just shy of Rs 4,000 in India, in case it makes it to the subcontinent.
We learned from the previous renders that the Pixel tag will boast a minimalist, puck-shaped form factor. Identified by model number GA12506, it's not the same form factor as Apple's circular AirTag. Rather, the design is quite similar to Samsung's Galaxy SmartTag 2.
However, just like the AirTag, there's a visible built-in loudspeaker housed behind a bottom grille, which should help users locate the tracker by playing an alarm. Besides, there's only one colour on offer right now, called "Fog Light".
While Pixel Tag is expected to share the stage with the Pixel 11 series and the next-generation Pixel Watch 5, the exact date when the tracker will hit retail shelves remains a mystery.
Besides, we don't know much about the technical specifications of the device. It is especially unclear if the Pixel Tag will support the quintessential UWB technology for directional tracking.
Furthermore, details about the battery type and replaceability are also under wraps. However, in addition to the tracker, Google should also sell casings to house the Pixel Tag, just like Apple does for the AirTag.
