After refreshing its smartphone lineup with the Honor 600 series, the brand has now turned its attention to tablets with the launch of the MagicPad 3 Pro 12.3 in China. It's a more compact take on the existing 13.3-inch MagicPad 3 Pro, bringing a smaller OLED display and a few minor tweaks while retaining most of the core hardware.
Honor MagicPad 3 Pro Specifications and Features
Starting with the display, which is the main highlight and the only major improvement on the tablet compared to its larger sibling. The MagicPad 3 Pro 12.3 ditches the LCD for a smaller 12.3-inch OLED display with 3,000x1920 pixels resolution at a unique 15:6:10 aspect ratio. It's a 165 Hz display with a 93% screen to body ratio, and it can get as bright as 3,000 nits. To enhance the multimedia experience, there's an octa-speaker setup, which Honor claims provides an immersive experience.

Build-wise, the tablet features an aluminium chassis, which is much thinner at 4.8 mm and weighs 450 grams. For reference, the Honor MagicPad 3 Pro 13.3-inch launched with a 5.78mm thickness and 595 grams weight.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, bringing a sub-flagship-level experience. The performance is complemented by 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. Helping keep things cool is an 8,717 mm2 vapour chamber.

To fuel the internals, Honor has packed in is a mammoth 10,100mAh battery with support for 66W fast wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging. The charging speed is slower than its bigger sibling, and the 13.3-inch unit also boasts a slightly larger cell (12,450mAh).
The back houses a 13 MP sensor, which is paired with a 9 MP front snapper for video calls. The MagicPad 3 Pro also lets go of the 2 MP secondary macro found on its larger sibling.
The tablet runs Honor's MagicOS 10, based on Android 16 features. On the connectivity front, the MagicPad 3 Pro unfortunately only comes in a Wi-Fi variant. There's support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, but when it comes to security, the tablet does not come with a fingerprint scanner.
