After multiple teasers and updates, Honor has finally launched its brand new 600 series in Malaysia. Comprising of the standard Honor 600 and the Honor 600 Pro, both succeed the Honor 500 series, but bring some interesting hardware choices in terms of processor, battery, display and camera.

Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro Specifications and Features

Beginning proceedings with the design, the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro take cues from the iPhone 17 Pro with their extended camera plateau and the rear camera arrangement. They even managed to replicate the popular Cosmic Orange coat of paint with the lineup's Orange colour option.

The back panel of both phones are cold-carved, creating a seamless transition between the glass and the camera deco. Both bring a boxier look with rounded corners, a flat aluminium frame and a flat display. Also, just like the Honor 500 series, the dedicated physical AI key is also present on the Honor 600 series.

At the front, both the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro feature the same 6.57-inch 1.5K 120 Hz LTPS 10-bit AMOLED panels with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, HDR Vivid support and a whopping 8,000 nits of peak brightness. The Honor 600 Pro takes the display game a notch up by getting as dim as 1 nit.

This makes the display on the Honor 600 series almost identical to the Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro, with the only exception of the newer generation bringing only 0.02-inch larger panels. They also sport a higher screen-to-body ration thanks to the thinner symmetrical bezels.

Performance is one area where Honor has taken interesting decisions with the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro. While the Pro model bears the Honor 500 Pro's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Honor 600 has been downgraded from the much more capable Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset of the Honor 500 to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor.

Both are paired with 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the software-side, the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro ship with MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16 out of the box, bringing on-device AI image-to-video generation to Honor 600 series for the first time.

Moving on to the cameras, both the Honor 600 and 600 Pro are fitted with a 200 MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture and OIS. It is paired with a 12 MP ultra-wide angle camera and an extra 50 MP 3x telephoto on the Honor 600 Pro. Both also get a 50 MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

Battery and charging is another area where the newer generation Honor phones are a downgrade. Instead of an 8,000mAh capacity, both 600 and 600 Pro bring a reduced 7,000mAh battery. Thankfully, the charging speeds remain same with 80W fast USB-C support and 50W wireless charging for the 600 Pro.

Aside from that, the Honor 600 series brings an official IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rating, an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, dual 5G SIM support and more.

Talking about their pricing, the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro cost 2,599 Malaysian ringgit (approximately Rs 62,000) and 3,099 Malaysian ringgit (approximately Rs 74,000), respectively. The standard model gets 12 GB + 256 GB of base RAM and storage while the Pro gets a single 12 GB + 512 GB model. Both will be sold in Orange, Golden White and Black colour options.
