The iQOO Neo 12 is heading to China very soon and ahead of it, a real-life image of the phone has surfaced online, giving us a good first look at its back design.

As shared by tipster Anvin on X, the live image of the iQOO Neo 12 is circulating on Weibo and we were unable to trace it back to a specific source. The phone is shown in a pale blue colour, with rounded edges and a metal or aluminium frame.

The live image also shows a large, squircle camera bump in the top-left corner, with a dual camera setup. However, the most interesting part is a section with “Monster Inside” branding and a round mesh grille. This looks like the opening for a built-in cooling fan. There’s also a row of slots on the right side of the frame that seem to be exhaust vents.

If this turns out to be true, the iQOO Neo 12 will join some of the best gaming phones like the RedMagic 12 Pro+ that come with an active cooling fan in 2026.

iQOO Neo 12 Specifications

iQOO has already confirmed that the Neo 12 will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with the iQOO Q3 gaming chip. The phone will also feature a flat 2K display with a 185 Hz refresh rate. The panel will come from Visionox and use its fourth-generation pTSF technology for better power efficiency.

As for the battery, the iQOO Neo 12 is expected to pack a massive 9,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging. A Geekbench listing of the phone also revealed 16 GB of RAM and Android 17, most likely with OriginOS 7 features.

That said, the iQOO Neo 12 is set to launch in China this month. iQOO hasn’t announced an exact date yet, but an official announcement could come very soon.

However, iQOO has reportedly paused its Neo series in India for 2026 to focus on flagship phones. So, it's unlikely the phone will get here. However, some reports do suggest that it could launch as the iQOO 16R in the country. Stay tuned for all the updates.
